Project Vision

Aperitivo e Amore is not just a bar where you can enjoy your drinks. It is a lifestyle we want to share with as many people as possible. Whether you want to visit us or enjoy your Aperitivo anywhere you want – booking our services is easy & can be done from anywhere

Challenges

  1. Tell the user what services Aperitivo e Amore offers
  2. Create detailed information for their products/services

Kick-Off

During the kick-off it became clear that the client wanted to focus more on their catering-service, which is not very well known. In the future an online-shop is also planned. But for us as a team it was important to get to know their services & how people normally approach them. The questions regarding the catering were.

01   Are there different „sizes“ for the catering service?

Yes there are different packages. At the moment 2 different packages are offered, but the client is planning to offer 3 in the future.

02  How do I know which package I want/need?

Packages should be transparent with prices & how the client would recommend them regarding the event etc.

03  What makes the catering service of Aperitivo e Amore special?

A private, professional barista in original Campari & Aperol products. Snacks & interactive games included. The user doesn’t have to prepare for anything. The Cape can be booked for anywhere – parks, riversides, garden etc.

Sitemap & Wireframes

In the first step I created a concept & sitemap with the help of the project manager. I also defined some user goals & created a proto-user-journey for the future online-shop.

The next step was to create low-fidelity & high-fidelity wireframes in Figma. When creating those I used components to make my work flow faster and more efficient.

Motion Design &
Interactions

As I was designing a website for a bar / catering service I came up with the idea to design Buttons with a glass effect (simulating a glass of wine) that is filled up.

I also liked the idea of the illustrations being animated when interacting with a CTA using the orange grain background, which simulates Aperol.

Challenge 1

Services Explanation

Description

For me personally it was hard to understand how the packages differ and how the free-flow concept works. I could see how a user would struggle with it.

Solution

I came up with an introduction to the catering page, where first the Free-Flow concept is explained. Later the packages should be explained & to which event they are fitting. First the Booking-Button was placed on each section, but we later had problems implementing it like that due to a third-party tool the client decided to use. The Booking-Button is now sticky on the page.

Challenge 2

Detailed information for products

Description

For the bar the client wanted to include their off-line menu on the website. Some of the same products should be included as a menu for the catering service.

Solution

I decided to design a interactive menu for the Bar-Page, where the images also changes with each filter. For the Catering-Site we used a very simplified version of it
